Strange & Unusual
By Racheal of Fresno, CA

My life has been full of strange & unusual stuff, from the time I was little. My mom used to tell me how when I was little, before I could talk... I'd play w/ the air and laugh, as though someone was there. Later in my life, when I was about 4 or so I came up to my mom one morning (I remember it like it was yesturday ~ I'm only 16, so it hasn't been too long) I had woken up, at an unusually early time. I remember grabbing my blanket, cause I was cold, & my stuffed dog (I called him wrinkle~that's irrelevant.) Anyway, I walked from my room to the living room, where I saw this girl. She was maybe 5 or so, a little older than me. She was sitting in my dad's chair, where I liked to sit. She was wearing an all white night gown w/ lace n ribbon, she was white to, not a pasty white, she just had very fair skin. Her lips were really pink next to her light skin, & her hair was blonde. I approached her, and she did not look at me, but at the TV instead. The first thing I noticed was the TV was off, so there was nothing to see. I starred for a while, and she still continued to look at the TV so I said, "Umm, do you want to share the chair?" (I didn't want to be rude, but I wanted to sit there too. I don't know why but I had this feeling as though she was related to my dad in some way, so I didn't want to be rude, and have her go tell on me. After I asked if she could scoot over, she stood up and walked over to the TV, pushing the power button and turning it on. Then she slowly walked backward sitting back down on my dad's chair. So I asked her again. This time when I did this, she looked at me. I remember her eyes were this piercing blue, kind of like an angel, pure & soft, but she looked so incredibly sad. After those few seconds of staring at me, she faded away. I remember being confused, not scared though, I had no idea what had just happened. Right after that, my mom entered the room. She had woken up do to the noise of the TV. I remember looking at her & saying "Im sorry, the little girl turned it on." My mom still tells me today, that, that was the weirdest thing she had ever heard me say. Shortly after that, I had a dream of the girl. She was playing ball w/ two brothers or friends (not sure) n she ran into the rode to get the ball, but was hit.
A few years later when I was 10 we moved from Hanford/Fresno area, to where I live now, & I finally told my dad my story. I don't know why I told him, my dad shuns anything that involves the paranormal. He said, he did have a cousin who was hit, that fit that description. All this was probably the strangest thing to ever happen to me in my life. Its not the only thing though. I have had weird stuff follow me where ever I go. Whenever I dream, (1 out of every 5 dreams involve death/ghosts) I'm always hearing noises, hearing things & such. At first it didn't scare me, and some still don't, but a lot of it has recently put me on the edge. I get really scared. For one instance, last year during the summer of 2002, I had cleaned out my room, and decided to rearrange it. I set my bed up against the wall, with my door at the head of my bed. The first night I did this around (11:07~not the traditional midnight thing) I hear someone walk up the stairs and stop in front of my door. Any other time I would just think it was my parents, or brother, but I instantly got this terrible feeling. Then, it knocked. I replied "Come in..." (out of habit) then it knocked again, This time I had time to think and asked "who is it?" they gave no reply. So I just sat in my bed awake the whole night. Once it reached 11:08 it stopped. This went on every night for a week. The last night it knocked & I waited till it knocked at 11:07...(it usually knocks 3 times at once) so halfway through the first knock I swung my door wide open, to find an empty hallway. I just freaked, and closed the door. The next day I rearranged my room differently again, thus stopping the late "visits". I never moved my bed back in that position again.
I have lived in 4 homes...The first house, I was too young to remember, but all three houses I've lived in, I have never been able to relax. Every picture I take in my houses, I always get orbs, or strange things showing up. I was told by a psychic I was being "followed". (not a very comforting thought) N' my social life is screwed up (not my school social life...just w/ my friends) I either have friends who are into the paranormal & love staying at my house, or friends who refuse staying, They're even afraid of it during the day (& they have good reason~so am I) You could imagine growing up in a town for 10 years, n never having one person stay the night at your house, you always had to go over there. Once my friend even attempted to, twice! but ended up going home before 11/12 at night. It's not fair to me, if you can relate. So, that's my strange, & unusual "story".

Do As Your Told Son
By Nikki of Birmingham, England

This is something that happened to my dad, just after my Nan died in November 2001, my dad had gone to the house to sort a few things out and he came back with a little brass boot that he had got her as a little boy. he placed it on top of our TV. well one night he was sat up late watching TV, his film had just finished so he turned the TV off and was just about to go to bed when the boot flew off the TV and landed on top of my moms dieting book. it didnt just slide off because it would of hit the shelf that the TV was on. anyway your probably thinking 'yeah and', well just before she died my Nan had sat my dad down and told him that she was worried about him being too overweight and she made him say he would go on a diet, my mom had just joined weightwatchers and the next week my dad did. Even from the other side its nice to see that my Nan has still got power over my dad.

Follow Meeee...Weird Happenings
By Rebecca C. of Watertown, CT

Every single place my mother has lived at has been, well, haunted. She started actually seeing appearances and happenings when she brought home my brother. She often heard chains and bars at different hours of the day and especially at about 5 in the night. She was so freaked at times because no one else seemed to hear them. My father thought my ma was whack, but then would let it pass. When my brother was able to play and crawl, even more strange things happened. He was playing ball one day and the ball was coming back to him in midair not even stopping or hitting the other wall. My ma was so scared that she asked my brother who he was playin with and he said a ghost. My mother then decided to leave that house but her new house wasn't any better. So she moved again. We ended up at my grandmothers house and we still live here and strange things happen from time to time.

One thanksgiving we had a family friend over and he stated that he did not believe in ghosts. Then all of a sudden our freezer door flew open and a pound of hot-dogs hit him in the head. A frozen turkey flew over his head and slammed onto the table (no lie it really happened). Ever since he has not stepped foot into our house.

I will only tell 3 more of my stories, as I have many. One is, my cousins girlfriend felt weird presences here, so she held a little seance. All of a sudden our lights got really dim and we heard child like footsteps run through the top of the house. The doors were shut and no kids are even in the household. Lets just say she flipped and has not came back since. Another one is, close to Halloween we had our first scarecrow up. Then we noticed there were two, but soon one vanished and people were freaked. My aunt thought it was my brother, so she went up to it and called his name but no movement was made. She turned around a little spooked. The last story is, every morning I wake up and see a shadow. It does not matter what time it is, it just goes from the hallway to the bathroom. I can look up and it happens. Its like it comes down the stairs and knocks over things. It knocked over my brothers hamper a couple of times and their was no one there. Well, these are all true and I have more to tell.

Can I help youuu?Comforting Visitor
By Mona Lisa R. of Newnan, GA

In 1981, I was 12 years old in the hospital for surgery to correct severe scoliosis of the spine (or a curved spine) The correction would require two eight hour surgeries we were told. (In truth they ran over time and one ended up being closer to 13 hours with me nearly losing my life but that's another story)
I had just woke up after the first surgery and I was in my room alone, alone except for one Nurse. I lifted my head up and looked at her. When her eyes locked mine an instant feeling of peace and calm came over me and it took my pain/fear/apprehension with it. I was only able to look at her for 3 seconds max before I passed back out. BUT I was able to notice and remember everything about her appearance. She was a beautiful sandy blonde, no bangs, hair parted down the middle and put back in a bun. She had on the little white nurses hat (you know the one that kind of looks like a small origami thingy) She was holding a metal hospital chart with hinges at it's top. She had it folded and looked to be writing something about me when she sensed I was staring at her and looked up at me. She had cornflower blue eyes. She gave me a little smirk as though she thought I was cute. She was so fresh and beautiful looking. She was wearing a solid white smock type shirt and white pants. The pants she was wearing is where it gets strange because as I glanced down to her legs, I could see through them! Her transparent legs were the last thing I saw before passing out.
Upon waking again I begged the other nurses to go and get the nurse that had visited me before. They said there was no nurse that fit that description and that the uniform I was describing wasn't even the type they wore. When I thought about it they were right. These nurses that I was talking to now just had on colorful "doctor's office" type smocks and not a one of them wore any type of hat whatsoever.
I told my mother about the nurse that I saw that no one believed me about and she said that I couldn't have woke up in the room alone because I was never left alone. From the time I came out of surgery she was in the room with me. Also she said "how in the hell do you think you lifted your head to look at her? You are in traction ya know!" That was absolutely true yet I know in my soul I SAW this lady! I was 12 years old at the time and I am now 35 and I'm telling you as I write this her face is as clear in my mind now as it was that day.
Being older and knowing what I know now, the uniform she was wearing seems like something from the early 70's. Was she an angel? A real nurse who passed away in the previous decade who was given the privilege of one more visit to a child in need of comfort? I don't know, but I do know she was sent to me to let me know I would be okay. Of that I am certain.

The Dance
By Nikki of Oldham Manchester

My grandfather told me this story some years ago sadly he has passed away.

My grandfather was from Ireland in a town called Galway. When my grandfather was a young man in his teens there was a big theater in Ballinasloe were there was big dances that were held. My grandfather met a young girl about his age and they got talking and spent the evening together dancing drinking and having fun as teens do. He was attracted to her and she was attracted to him.

After the dance he offered to walk her home she said she already had a lift home but gave her address to him to pick her up the following week to go to another dance at the same location.

My grandfather was exited and went to the address that he was given and asked the man that opened the door for the young girl (I can't remember the name he said) the man started to cry and offered him inside for a cup of tea. There was a women there as well which my grandfather assumed was her parents. They explained that the person he was looking for was there daughter and that she was killed on the road that led to there house about five years ago. My grandfather was shocked and did not know what to say. When he was able to speak again he explained the night before at the dance.

My grandfather left the house and was in shock and he never understood it up until the day he died.

Peep PeepThe Poltergeist
By Peter of Oldham Manchester

It all started when I was a little boy I cant remember my age but I was very young. Myself and my mother and father had on going problems for the time we lived in the property. The house was located about a hundred yards from the local cemetry. One of the first things that occurred that I remember was the problems that we had when we went into the toilet, we would enter the toilet and shut the door as normal we could not lock the door as there was never a lock on it, and we could not open the door for at least ten to fifteen minutes, no matter how desperate we was we sometimes couldn't even get into the toilet and had to go outside the back garden. Also, because the bathroom was in a separate room we had the same problems with the bathroom door and again had to wait ten to fifteen minutes to open the door.

My parents gave me the large bedroom in the house yet again I was at a young age. One morning about seven eight o clock I could not open my bedroom door for a good hour or so. The living room was directly under my bedroom floor, and because I needed the toilet desperately I kicked and banged the door several times hoping my parents would hear me but the didn't hear a thing.  I ended up soiling my underwear.  My parents told me off but I never mentioned anything about what had taken place.

Several nights later, I woke up early hours of the morning feeling cold (when I was a boy I only had blankets to keep me warm) I was feeling scared to look at the bedroom door, but I looked anyway being suspicious and there was a seven foot tall (roughly) man. I could not see his face but he had a black hat and a black cloak (looked to be a Victorian man), I felt really scared I could not move till later in that morning when it was time to get up. I told my parents about what occurred earlier that morning they seemed to believe me because the never said anything like it was only a dream they just acted as they would usually do with me.

Later, that day as boys do I was climbing a tree in the park that was facing my house and I sat on a branch (no-one was with me at the time) I felt someone push me on my back out of the tree, I landed on my head and my face was badly scratched. I ran crying to the house banging on the window and the door. I saw the face of my father who was at work in the window telling me to go away.  I went away and came back five minutes later (my mum was in the hole time despite my attempts to get into the house) my mum answered the door and took me to the hospital and I had several stitches in my face. I went home my parents let me sleep on the couch for the night. In the morning I could not lift my head I had to roll off the couch, my parents took me back to the hospital and I had broke a disc in my neck so I had to wear a dog collar and a support.

What I didn't mention at the beginning of this story was that there was a big crack from the cemetery and through to our house and the park and the property was subsiding, and that was what the problem was. We know that that was the problem because we called a priest and he blessed the house and strongly advised us to move. From back then in the eighties until now 2003 nobody has been able to live in the property for more than two weeks.

THIS IS A TRUE STORY AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY.

spooky graveThe Haunting
By Fatman & Moo from Seymour, CT

Me and Moo were chillin in the dungeon (the dungeon is my room we call it that because before I had heat it was always cold and dark because light never came through the window because its boarded up) which was about a year ago or so. We were sitting there and we were about to fall asleep cause we had a little to much fun that night. Then all of a sudden the lights cut out. We sat there in the dark wondering what the hell happened. Then a few minutes later the lights came back on. We sat there and we were like what was that? Then we sat there and started playing cards because we couldn't fall asleep. Then the lights started to get dimmer and dimmer. They went completely out this time. Then moo said "It was probably a fuse." So we went and checked it out, and when we opened my door it was dark, and creepy in the basement. We then noticed a faint, flickering light on the other side of the basement. I have two doors entering my room, and one of them was over in this corner. I told Moo to follow me over there. This door locked from the inside, and my dresser was in front of it too. There was NO WAY it could open. So we walked over there and the door was open, my TV had turned on (which was the faint, flickering glow) and my dresser was thrown across the room. I stood there at first and was like "What the F*** was that about?" Moo was like "I dunno." What was odd (and definitely f***ing scary) was that the whole crazy incident happened without a sound. We were to scared to move. Finally, we got the courage to run like hell upstairs. We sat down in the living room, talking loudly about what just happened. My phone rang then, and we both jumped. I got up and walked over to the call ID. It said "Unknown Caller." I picked it up and as soon as I did, my basement door flew open and it got extremely cold upstairs. Moo was like "What The F***?!!!!" I stood there in shock, wondering what was going on. Then, the doors shut and everything went back to normal. Me and Moo ran out the front door, and were scared to go back.
I dropped Moo off at home later that night, and had bad feelings about going home. I did anyway, and covered under my blankets as soon as I got in my room. Nothing happened that night, and nothing happened for the next 3 months or so. Now, every once and a while I'll see odd things, but nothing major like that night. I guess it was just something there making its presence known.

Ghostly DreamGhostly Dream
By Sam from Irrigon, Oregon

About 10 years ago or so, my sister found out she was pregnant. This was to be her first child, a baby girl. I had a dream the night after I found out. I was my sister sometimes, other times just a bystander. She was holding a baby girl in her arms, being chased by a strange looking, lanky, dark figure I perceived to be a man. He chanted in an eerie voice, the entire time he pursued her, "Ir a una regla." She ran through what was once my elementary school gym, but she lost footing, and the man took her baby from her arms, killing it instantly. She got up before he could kill her too, and as she ran away, she picked up a small boy. He chased her through some Chinese paper walls, in what looked like a Chinese historical museum. He never caught her in the time before I woke up. When I opened my eyes, he was leering over me, with a half smirk, still chanting in a soft voice. He winked, then turned and began to walk towards my window. As he walked, he faded, and when he reached the window, he was gone. The phone rang shortly thereafter. It was my sister. She had lost her baby. A few months later, she was pregnant with a boy, whom she birthed, and is now 10 years old.

over there....Evil Watching
By Chris R of Moosup CT

Back in October of 2002, myself and two of my friends went to a cemetary in Canterbury, CT. This cemetary is not cared for at all. The grass was up to our hips and you could just about see the tops of the stones. As we walked around taking photographs, Ann got very upset and asked us if we could hear something. We both said no, why? She said she could hear a women sobbing and moaning. We continue with our photo's. I wondered off to read a huge stone from the 1800's and felt something warm around my left leg. I looked down with my flashlight and saw a huge black rat making his way up my pant leg. I freaked out and ran jumping over grave stones through the tall grass. The other two girls with me of course started running because they didn't know what was wrong with me. We all jumped into the car. As I explained to them what happened, I noticed claw marks on my left ankle. The biggest mistake I could have ever made was not binding the spirits in that cemetery. From there we headed to another cemetery in Canterbury and then to Plainfield & Central Village. When I developed my film some of my pictures from each site had orbs that turned into energy rods which then formed into orange/yellow eyes that got clearer with each photo. The following night & every night for 2 wks, what ever I picked up on film, followed me home. Every night at exactly 3:15 a.m. my blankets would be pulled off of me. At first I thought it was my husband, however the blankets each night would be pulled more forcefully to the floor from the foot of the bed. A dark image would just look at me at watch me for quite a few minutes. This image had a white glow around it. When the image would disappear, toys would appear to be playing without batteries and my husband would complain of someone or something playing with his hair. Rooms in the house would get extremely cold to the point windows and mirrors would ice from the inside. I wanted to learn more from this entity, but my husband was ready to sell my house and move out if I didn't do something to get rid of it. I had everyone leave the house, I opened every door, cub board, etc. I went through the entire house with a cross, holy water & a sage smudge stick filling the rooms with smoke and splashing holy water praying that the spirit leave. This worked. My husband to this day when I go on an investigation asks me to please be sure that nothing follows me home this time. If people tell you this can't happen, they are most definitely wrong! I've got the pictures to prove it. Human and animal ghosts will not follow you. Evil and divine can.

I C UScary Image
By KK

This story happened a while back but still remains in my memory. O.K. here's the story. I was in my bed reading a magazine. I then turned off the light and went to bed, and of course I needed a drink of water thinking that getting out of bed would be easy. Well, I was wrong, when I sat up in bed I looked over on my wall there standing there was an image of a small women on my wall. I couldn't believe what I saw! I just looked at for minutes so scared I couldn't even get out of bed. The image just stood there didn't move. Finally when I couldn't stand it anymore. I got out of my bed running to get my parents, (the likely thing to do when your 11 years old) When they came in my room I pointed to the place where it was. They said that they couldn't see it. I was shocked! We looked everywhere where the shadow could have came from. There wasn't anything that could have made the shadow. I was so so so so scared that I went to sleep with my parents. The next day it was normal. But when   I went to sleep in my bed so scared that I would see the image on my wall again, I turned off the light and hid under the covers. When I woke up that night scared and freaked out I looked on my wall the image wasn't there, so relieved I went to bed forgetting about it. The image never showed up on my wall again.

I see you.Ghostly Incidents
By Michael of Copenhagen, Denmark

Well, I have a few incidents to tell about which have occurred since I was 14. I am 24 today. As mentioned it began at the age of 14. It was early in the morning and I woke up in my bedroom. Now what was now to take place was such a shocking experience that I remember it in great detail today. There in the dark right next to my desk stood a little girl! She wasn´t transparent like in some of the ghost stories...she looked like a regular human being. I was absolutely stunned and couldn´t believe my own eyes! There was a stranger in my bedroom! My next thought was that it had to be a ghost. Sure, I had stopped believing in that crap since I became a teenager, but there was no other explanation. I was terrified! A real ghost in my bedroom! Of sheer panic I told the girl to go away and that I didn´t want her in my room. Then all of a sudden she slowly faded away...more and more transparent and then gone. After she was gone I was still completely out of myself from fear. And I pulled my covers over my head and stayed there in my bed with my heart pounding madly and the sweat running. I stayed there for about ten minutes or so (felt like hours) and then gathered courage to peek out to see if she had come back somehow. Reassured that she was not there, I jumped out of bed, ran fast across the room and left for good. I didn´t return to my room before much later that day. And let me tell you...I didn´t sleep there for a long time, but slept in our living room instead. Of course, I told my parents later that day. Fortunately my Mother believed me, but my Father rejected it as a very vivid dream. I know it was not. It was so real, you could almost touch it!

Let me tell about a few other incidents (shorter I promise). One is about voices. This incident happened when I was about 17, also in the morning. I had just left my bedroom to go to the bathroom when I heard voices from downstairs...by my judgment coming from our living room. Male voices mumbling something that I couldn´t make anything of. But sounded clearly like they conversed. I thought that maybe my mother had turned on the radio and went to the top of the stairs and called her name. And then suddenly the voices were gone. I looked into her bedroom afterwards and found her sound asleep. Odd! Another incident...this time visual stunts were involved. This one happened a few years later. I had just gone to the kitchen to pour up some yoghourt in my bowl, when I hear our windchime ringing in the livingroom. I thought it was strange, because all windows and doors were shut, and there was absolutely no wind outside. I went to the livingroom to have a look. And right, the windchime was still moving. Strange thing I thought and then went back to the kitchen. But it apparently wasn´t finished playing visual tricks on me. Because when I came back, half of the yoghourt in the bowl had been poured out on the kitchen table! OK, talk about ghosts, I thought to myself and went on with my morning ritual.

Now, I could probably go on a little while yet with stories like this, but I mention only one more (to spare you) which involved both my mother and I and happened a couple of years ago. It was a late evening and my mother and I were in the livingroom chatting. At some time the topic "paranormal" and "ghosts" were touched. We sat there for a while talking about this and suddenly a clear and loud, but completely not understandable male voice almost "boomed" out from upstairs! It sounded very much like coming from my own bedroom and therefore my mother asked if my TV was still on. I told her that I was sure that I had turned it of, but I went to check out if I really had. When I came to my room, it was clear that the TV was off and there was complete silence. After that, my mother and I agreed that maybe someone on the other side wanted to give us a hint that he/she/they could hear us and then had let us know.

Anyway, it is clear that something strange goes on in the house from time to time. And it seems that it happens in periods (ghost seasons?). Many strange things have occurred. But I will stop now. Maybe some other time.

I C ULittle White Kid
By Ashley

My Dad and I think are house is haunted. Anyway, I was online like usual talking to my friend until I saw a little white thing. It was probably 2 ˝ feet tall. It was white, really white. Then, it ran in my parents room. Then my right hand got cold. Like right now. Then my right hand isn't cold it's warm. Anyway, then after I heard someone say, "Hi Ashley" really low like a whisper. I swear this really happened. Stuff happens to me when I'm home alone when my parents aren't home nothing happens. I swear 1 day, someone was breathing on my neck!!! And it got cold, then warm. And on my Ouija Board, I asked if there's a ghost in my house, and it said Yes. I asked is it a guy? It said No. So I said its a girl then? It said Yes. So I asked what's her 1st name what does it start with? It went F so I said Francis? And it landed on Yes. I asked how many ghosts are in my house? And it said 1. I have tons of stories. I swear this stuff HAPPENED! I told my Mom and Grandma, they didn't believe it. I told my Dad, and he said I believe it. Like the TV stories happened 2 my Dad and ME! But, of course, my Grandma doesn't believe in ghosts. I seriously believe in ghosts. I know when a ghost is in a room, you feel cold spots. My hand gets cold, & so does my neck. Oh, when I told my Grandma, she didn't believe it. She said, "You watch too many horror movies." My Mom said, "Yeah." I said," FINE DON'T BELIEVE ME!!!"

Im A Happy SkullMom & Papa
By Isabel

I first became interested in ghost stories and the paranormal when my  mamma Isabel, and my papa Miguel died when I was  13. At that time I need guidance. After reading all sort's of ghost story's I started searching for my mamma and papa, in the spirit world. After a year, I gave up searching. Until one night, when I was sleeping in my aunt Maria's couch, and I hard this hard gust of wind. So, I got up and went to go shut  the window, and  I came to lay back down, my papa was sleeping right there. I was scared but I  put my hand out for my papa to reach, and he took my hand to a whole another world. All I can remember is the world was swirly, and dark and they were people everywhere. But it didn't scare me. Suddenly, my papa said to me "Isabel, watch out, you Aunt Maria and Uncle Paco, are looking for you. Hide," and at the moment, I was stunned. Afterwards, my papa left, and I slept then I fell back asleep. When I woke up, my Aunt Maria and Uncle Paco, were sitting over me, with knives. At that second, I got up and run out of the house. And they didn't chase me. Until I tripped on the step's. After that, I was unconscious, until I got to the hospital and woke up 2 day's later.   No one to this day, will tell me what happened after I fell, or where my Aunt Maria and Uncle Paco. Now I live with my second cousin, Raul. I know this all sound's fake but it's not. And I wasn't asleep. Thank you for reading.

RIPMary
By Samantha

Several years back my great-grandmother, Mary, died. She was a relative that I was fairly close to emotionally and her death hit me rather hard. I went through a period where I couldn't eat, sleep, anything. I lost weight rapidly and all my friends commented on the fact that I needed to start eating again. On a particularly bad night, I fell asleep on the couch, only to dream of my great-grandmother. In my dream, she spoke to me, explaining that she was happier now and that when she had had her fatal stroke, she had felt no pain had just slipped away. She explained that it was doing me no good to live my life like this, obsessing over her death and ways I could have prevented it. She also mentioned some jewelry that she had owned at one point, presumed lost many years before. She told me of a panel in the back of her jewelry box and explained that this jewelry had been left to me. At this point, I awoke. I wrote off the dream as a hallucination or something and promptly forgot about it. Several days later, while cleaning I came across the old jewelry box. Curious I began to look for the hidden jewelry. After several minutes of searching, I found the panel and opened it. Out came the jewelry she had mentioned, many of the pieces which I had not seen since my days as a young child. I began to wonder if maybe my great-grandmother had mentioned that to me before her death and I had possibly remembered it through the dream, though I doubted it. My own health began to improve as I began to eat again, and sleep through the night, hoping for another dream. I had one last dream of her. She came to me, saying that she was happy I was doing so much better and asked if I had found the jewelry. She told me she was sorry, but she was going to be with Walter, my great-grandfather who died before I was ever born. My last vision was of her with a man, smiling and laughing. I realize that this man was probably my great-grandfather Walter. I have never been able to prove it, but I feel in my heart that this was Mary's way of stepping in and assuring me that she was safe and happy. I'll always believe that it was her spirit I saw.

Peep PeepThe Lady
By Terri Dale

When I was much younger and lived in New Jersey. Two of my girlfriends and myself were walking home from Girl Scouts at the Catholic church by my house. On our way home we had to pass the path that led to an old graveyard. Upon approaching the graveyard my girlfriend stopped short and pointed towards the graveyard. Coming down the path from the graveyard was an old woman dressed in a long white gown, which was all tattered and torn. In her hand she held a bouquet of dead flowers. When she got near to us, we said hello, but she just kept walking never even looking our way or saying a word to us. When she was passed us we looked around to see where she went but she was gone. The three of us took off and ran all the way home. I can still see her face to this day. It may sound strange or weird, but it is true. It happened in the town of Haskell, New Jersey.

Thomas The Ghost
By Michael

I used to live in this warehouse apartment with two other friends Michelle and Tonya. Truly a Threes Company setup. Ghosts have always seemed to follow me but this one was has been my favorite.

Upon moving into the apartment weird things would take place. We could hear a conversation taking place throughout the apartment, but could never find who was having it. Everyone who stopped by commented on "who's talking?". We would search inside outside and find no one in the building and yet still hear the murmur of a conversation.

Then there was the television. The three of us could have the TV on at any given time and it would start flipping channels. We thought it might be a bad remote so we got a new one and threw the old one away. Still the channels flipped. During a lightening storm one night a surge killed our TV and we had to get a new one. All of us thought this would end our mysterious channel surfing, yet it did not.

At this point I was still a smoker and would go through 2 packs a day and the girls smoked too. It would get pretty smokey in that place when we had company over. One night we were telling our company about our TV. They had already witnessed the conversation from people who were not there. While we were talking, all of the smoke in the room seemed to gather in a doorway going to the hall. It was so weird. ALL OF THE SMOKE. The smoke right before our eyes appeared to take almost an outlined shape of a human. That is when the name Thomas came to me. I said the name and the smoke came closer. I swear it. Everyone in the apartment got a little nervous and started laughing to break the tension and the smoke seemed to fill the room back up like normal. We were all a little freaked out. I thought it was cool though. I now knew his name. I have more Stories of Thomas and will post them later. I hope you enjoy them. This was sill my favorite ghost of all.

Ellie QuigleyWho Is There?
By Ellie Q

I used to live in the little town of Norwich, CT. The house I lived in was about 100 years old. My landlord had remodeled it and made it into two separate apartments. I chose to live on the second floor apartment. It was nice, and I liked my view outside of the windows. But while living there, I had a few strange things happen to me. One of the scariest strange occurrences, as I recall, happened one night as follows. I was sitting at my computer, doing the usual on the net. I had been so engrossed in what I was doing I hadn't been paying attention to anything else around me. All of a sudden I felt someone slap the back of my computer chair and run their hand across the top. My husband was home that night, and I figured it was him. So I turned around really fast to yell at him for scaring the skin off my bones. I looked but no one was behind me. I was totally freaked out. I listened for sounds and the only one I could hear was my husband snoring in the next room. He was asleep. Now I was really spooked. I yelled out loud to whomever was listening and said "Okay!!! Who ever you are, please, I don't mind that you are here, but just quit scaring the hell out of me like that would ya?!!" It never happened again. This is a true story.

Jeff EllisA Strange Paranormal Experience
By Jeff Ellis

A Strange Paranormal Experience That Spanned From Australia To The US. While online on 1-1-2001, I received an IM from young woman named Nikki. We discussed ghosts and things like that for a few minutes, she then asked me what I thought about ghosts contacting people and showing them things. I informed her that I had heard and read some stories about spirit guides, or ghosts asking people to help them finish a task that they did not complete in their life. Nikki then asked if I could try to help her make sense of what she had experienced some 9 days earlier. I told her that I would try, then I asked her what she experienced. She proceeded to tell me that the thing she had experience was like a circle of light that just appeared in her living room. It seemed to turn into a ray or beam of light from ceiling to floor. She sensed it was urging her to do something or help it do something. She started "receiving" images and wrote them down. The images were a ROSE, ELVIS, a HAMMER, a common garden GNOME statue, and the numbers 221119. We talked more about this and what it could mean. She said that ELVIS could mean King since there are a lot of King's in Sydney. I suggested "Rose King" and that the GNOME could be like Gnome Rd. or something. She looked in the phone directory and their was a Rose King on Gnome Cottage. She said that she would ring her at lunch, and I told her that may want to visit her and tell her in person, since this is a strange story so far. We talked a little longer and I said that the numbers could be for a combination lock. She still could not figure out what the HAMMER could mean, nor could I. I got back online later and she IMed me again. She told me that she had went to the address and met Rose King. Rose listened to the story with great enthusiasm and hope for her husband had died recently, and she just knew it was him. They talked a bit about how she was in a bind financially. Her children wanted her to go to a home so they could sell her house which had become valuable on the market over time. Nikki then talked of the images she had seen and how we found her by linking the pieces to each other. She told her we could not figure out the hammer image. Rose stated that it could mean the toolshed in her backyard. They checked out the toolshed and all his hammers, but could find nothing.....as they turned to leave, Rose dropped her keys and they landed on the floor in front of a toolbox that was pushed back under the table. The toolbox had a combination lock on it. They tried the combination 22-11-19 and the lock opened, inside the toolbox was what Nikki called a small fortune in money he had been putting back for a rainy day or something. Rose was able to get back on her feet and is also happy to know that her husband is still watching out for her. Nikki has been keeping in touch with Rose and plans on continuing to do so. She does not want Rose to get down and distraught like she was before they met. Also.....the combination lock numbers 22-11-19, when reversed in order, (1911-2-2) is the birth date of Rose's husband.
